...I think I just aced my first Japanese quiz. It was very easy (just the first hiragana quiz and we don't even have all the characters yet) and really everybody should have aced it, but, um, I've never done that before in any foreign language course ever that I can remember, so, um, yeah. It's kinda cool. ^_^

otoh, I could be completely on crack and have failed it utterly. Won't know for sure until I get it back. But, um... I actually think I kinda aced it.

Now I must go try to catch up on my bio reading before three hours of lecture and lab.

Occasionally, The Onion still makes me go Yay!

Distinctly less tired than yesterday, despite being one of Long Days, and, on top of it, a physical therapy workout session of some fair severity. I'm still glad Thursday is a light day tho'. (Only one class.) I've also talked with a tutor for Japanese so I can start working ahead of the class - I'm quite sure I'll need it. Because there's a pretty significant gap between end of class Thursday and tutoring session Thursday I'm considering being a conversation partner for a Japanese student learning English. The idea is that it would be reciprocal but that's not really possible given my current vocabulary limits.

I have no idea whether it's related, but I have been obsessing on 80s music lately. That, and a small assortment of progrock. I have no idea why.

I mentioned earlier that my autumn veg garden - that I planted before the accident - wasn't going all that well, and that one row hadn't come up at all. It turns out that was the greens row, which was the one I actually wanted most. To wit: foo. The snow peas are doing fine and the carrots (now that I know for sure they are carrots)... about half of them didn't sprout, but those that did are starting to put up a few real leaves. At least they won't be shaded this time.

Oh, and the two plants that were in my backpack when I got hit and accidentally stayed in my backpack most of the time I was in the hospital; the sun-loving one seems pretty dead at this point, but there's still a little green so I haven't completely given up. The shade one is doing very well, thank you and seems very happy in its spot in the rockery. So that's one hardy little bastard of a plant. I think I like it. ^_^
