solarbird: (korra-on-the-air)

Given how… blessedly normal… the DNC is this year, I thought it might be good to revive a couple of stories and images from the Republican National Convention – particularly of the plans for mass deportation and concentration camps, the most disgracefully evil plan put forward by an American political party since World War II – to provide some contrast between that fest of fear and fascism and the Democratic Party’s nominating convention of an inclusive republic and small-d democratic governance.

I know, most people reading me don’t really need the reminder, but it might be useful to remind some of your zero-attention-span low-info-white-voter friends of exactly how nuts that was, in the context of a political convention that’s actually about improving the state of the republic.

There’s no particular order, here. It’s just… as it came to mind.

SOMETHING is messing with the images, thanks a lot whatever tool is breaking them now. So have a cut to save your reading page )

The next Greater Northshore Bike Connector Map release will be released late on the 29th, and will be dated the 30th. It’ll show the three brand new light rail stations of the 1 line extension within our map, as well as some additional/improved street labelling in Lake Forest park and Shoreline and an important new route that went live in Seattle. (That part will only be visible in the Megamap, but since Seattle is still on 2023 for their full map, I’m adding things on my own until they catch up.)

So if you have any information – corrections, additions, whatever – that should be on the Greater Northshore but aren’t, please get that data to me as soon as you can, using this link!

Or you can create a github issue that’s fine too. But most people won’t do that.

1 Line expansion opens late next week, very excite! Gonna be there – by bike, naturally – weather permitting. Probably 2pmish? Not sure. We’ll see. (◕▽◕)
