I keep hearing modern anime sucks, that there’s a crisis in anime, that there’s a crisis amongst the otaku, all that. I have a geeky audience, here: let’s see what you think.

How long has modern anime sucked?

• Modern anime sucks? What's wrong with you? Kino's Journey? Blue Exorcist? FMA? Nichijou? Raxephon? Hello?!
• It's been all downhill since Utena went off the air.
• Utena? With that ending? No, Sailor Moon was the end of awesome.
• If it's not Ranma 1/2, talk to the hand. Even Rumiko Takahashi couldn't top that.
• Robotech. There is nothing good after Robotech.
• ...series one.
• MY train to awesome is called Galaxy Express 999, goddammit!
• Starblazers: Wave Motion Perfection.
• ...by which I mean Space Cruiser Yamato. I've got to see the movie subbed now!
• SPEED RACER OR GTFO
• Shut up, I'm watching Bleach.
• Tickie!
