solarbirdTexas judge Tena Callahan has ruled that Texas's anti-marriage laws and state constitutional amendment both violate the US Constitution's equal protection clause. This is particularly brave given that Texas judges are elected, including Judge Callahan herself, who faces an election campaign in 2010.
