Good points:

1. Stupidly massive rhododendron. Seriously. As in, if you take a single branch length of an ordinary rhody, make it so it's just one straight stick, and instead of groups of five inch long leaves every few inches, make it four feet wide groups, and stick that in the ground, you get this thing. It's amazing. It's like being fun-sized! Or fairy sized. Or both!

2. Relaxing walk around flowers and plants. That's always good.

3. I let myself spend $4 on a plant. Just one. I'll plant it in May. It's probably only good for one year - it's a tender perennial, but we're high enough up that in a bad year it might freeze and die. But if I'm careful and put mulch on it over winter, it might be okay. I've got a good sunny location for it, which will be good.

4. I got some pictures of some neat kinetic sculpture (including one movie ^_^) , some tools I'd like to have, and some garden treatments I'd like to use as inspiration for stuff to do myself, which is good! I'll have to go over my available lumber and bamboo and stuff and see if I have enough to make anything interesting. ^_^

Bad points:

1. I put my camera down on a stack of programmes (because it was the only available flat space and there were other stacks next to me) but this annoying person reached around and insisted on grabbing off my stack. I grabbed the camera but didn't get a good grip on it and dropped it to the ground. Now it doesn't focus except at wide angle, and I don't have the money to get it fixed. I am t3h sad.

At least it still works at wide-angle, though. But still.

2. I ended up alone! Everybody else bailed. Snif.

And now my bus is about to be here, so postiing time!

I wouldn't say you're big, more like petite :-)

Now I don't feel bad for lugging mine around...

Similarly...

Two of the crocuses we planted in December/January time frame have not only come up but have bloomed.

And a button broke on my digital camera. No longer will it zoom in, unless I'm carrying a car key with me at the same time that I can use to make a crazy electrical contact, for the "button" didn't quite equate to a button, it really just made a contact.

Anyway: flowers + broken camera.

Ooooooooooooooh how I <3 rhododendrons. ^_^ They are another thing I miss about the northwest. I also love kinetic sculptures, have always wanted to have the time to try to build one, but never had the time/energy/inclination/space to do so. ^_^ Sorry to hear about your camera. :(
