solarbird | wikipedia is kinda addictive

Wikipedia editing is kind of addictive. You look up where you live, just for the hell of it, and then when you see the entry's just kind of lacking, you start adding things, just a bit at first, but then you think, really, you should flesh out this one section so it has, you know, data in it, and before you know it, you've rewritten the whole damn thing, or close enough that it doesn't make a lot of difference that strictly speaking, you didn't. (I didn't touch the demographics section.) (ETA: er... except where I did, and forgot that I did. I moved a fragment of income data from the opening paragraph, where it had no business being, into the demographics section. La!)

Here, have a picture. Strictly speaking, it's not leaves, but it isn't flowers either, so I don't know what to call it. I don't even remember where I took it, offhand. I was thinking I took it at the Woodland Park Zoo, but thinking about it again, I'm sure that's wrong. What I can remember about it is that I couldn't get the autofocuser to attack to the right thing, and that's what more or less got me forced to learn to use Paul's camera in manual mode. Strange! Anyway, even with the wrong focus point, it's pretty.
