solarbirdI really appreciate suggestions people are giving! But for them to be really useful, I need more specificity, or more direct pointers so I can look up the specificity quickly. Mr. Gaeta has started the clock, and I've only got two and a half days - not enough time to read the collected works of suggested authors. ^_^
The kinds of things I've been collecting are much smaller and more specific, like this excerpted section from my "notes" file:

Date: 2005-03-22 01:19 am (UTC)(We're actually just about the only sizable con I know of without elevator problems, because the hotel is Large, but substantially Flat, so con events all take place on two floors, and the party wing is only three stories tall, even if it's very loooooooong. There is a tower, but we put guests up there, and _no_ programming except for a few closed publisher parties and the like.)
