I'm worried, but I'm not bailing out of hand. I think they've already made a couple of mistakes in how they're handling the announcement, which have made reaction worse. I made some additional commentary here, in response to the original news post, if you're interested in seeing that.

They just aren't very together or professional. I expect Six Apart to handle things a bit better.

I'd like to know just how much he sold out for. The fact is he didn't sell LJ, LJ by itself is worth nothing. He sold us we, the members, users, the community, is what made LJ worth money, so I'd like to know just how much I was sold for. The only advantage (as I see it) that LJ has over the other blog services is the friend's list setup, which is a nice feature.

I myself will wait to see if it sucks or doesn't suck before I go, I'm paid up till year's end anyway. But the piss poor way it was communicated (I only learned about it thru slashdot and I have not agreed to the new TOS, or even SEEN them), SUCKS. As a paid member it would have been nice to get notified that the service I subscribe to was being sold.

I don't think much will change.. I've been a member since Feb of 2001 (damn, just 4 1/2 months off from being an Early Adopter), so I hope not!

I don't know if I'll keep paying for an account though. I'd been paying because it was such a small organisation and I felt like I should give something back. Guess I need to find out more about SA before I make that decision (fortunately my paid account lasts until September anyway!)
