I could post something more constructive, but why bother?

I originally wrote up something longer and more bitter, but hey, nobody gives a fuck. So I'll just bullet list a few recent political horrors, to formally log my disgust, so I can close some browser tabs.

• America sure loves its drone strikes. Nobody else does, tho'.
• Maybe that'll change once Americans are killed by them more often, but I kind of doubt it.
• I mean, once the Bipartisan Party decided torture was okay, why bother arguing? Still, you have to be careful, now that you have DHS saying
• Homeland Security can seize, without even suspicion, any and all electronic devices at the border, which they have conveniently defined to mean "within 100 miles of any border." That includes waterfront, folks, so, are you within 100 miles of a coast? You don't own a goddamn thing.

PS: CISPA is back, reintroduced completely unchanged. Yay. Remember, folks, these guys are paid to do all this shit - as in, bought and sold - so have all the time in the world to go at it over and over again until you get tired. It's their job. And until people are ready to start believing more in actions made than in words said, realise that branding is not reality, and start being willing to oppose these parties for real, not a goddamn thing will change. This will continue until it can't.

old-school battlestar

So, back when the original Battlestar Galactica aired, and lasted one year, there was a terrible - I mean terrible - sequel series was made called Galactica 1980, and was supposed to be about finding Earth. It had one good episode, and even that one was set back in the original-series era and was about what happened to that version of Starbuck. (It was basically a late episode of the original series, and had almost nothing to do with Galactica 1980 at all. Really, it should be edited in as part of the original run, tho' of course it can't be... and that's not important right now.)

All that exposition completed, you now have enough data to understand this:

Some fans of the original 1978 series decided to take all of Galactica 1980, and, from that footage and some original-series footage, put together a series finale for the original 1978 Battlestar Galactica. They also steal footage from other shows - mostly effects footage - they include new SFX of their own making to have it make sense. (For example, there's a clip from Independence Day, only now, the alien raiders are original-series Cylon raiders.)
