solarbird | this game is so weird sometimes

So last night, yeh? Comp. Lijiang Tower. I'm Pharah, we win in the garden, but barely - honestly, I'm surprised we win it. Then Night Market, and we're utterly crushed. It's the kind of thing where I go in with a barrage, kill four, and we still don't take the point.

So I change to D.va in Control Centre because our one tank switches off, and as we're in initial contest for the point, somebody drops.

But I realise we're 5 on 3 at that point because a couple of us are on comms and coordinating and go we can take this point. we can because at that point we should and I just want a moral victory.

And we do, right? We should, we're 5 on 3. But... then we just cruise. It's not even close. Suddenly we own them on every level, despite being down one. They can take the point from us briefly with ult stacks, but we retake it immediately next push, every time.

The amount of shrieking on the other team must've been truly legendary.

And... I still just can't get over the clear and obvious fact that we were a dramatically better team one player down than we were with a full stack, when the player who dropped was not an obvious griefer.
