Hey, look, [livejournal.com profile] spazzkat drew a bunch of sketches at Folklife, including one of me and [livejournal.com profile] annathepiper:

Dara and Anna at Folklife 2009
drawing by [livejournal.com profile] spazzkat

I want to do something new with my hair but I dunno really what. Really I'd like Haruhi hair, because I apparently like adding more work to my high-maintenance routine. But it's cute, so!

I think we're done with Folklife for the year tho' I am tempted by taiko drumming this afternoon, but also I am feeling very, very, very lazy.

Oh yeah, a lot of people took pics of me on Friday and of me and Anna on Sunday so if you see any of them let me know!

Good luck with getting pictures! Sometimes I muse on the crazy amount of complete strangers who must have pictures of me stashed away somewhere. The only time a busking photo of me ever surfaced was when it was taken by the paper (Daily Olympian, this past artswalk). Similar deal with video, when King 5 was covering Tall ships in 2005. Everyone else? You're lucky if they photographers remember to tip, but at least they're out enjoying it.

Uggh, I'm sorry. Usually at least one or two do...which means that on average, photographers are worse than the average punter.

At least now I know you didn't run into my mother. She was running around with Dad's camera, but she gets $40 in ones at the grocery store before she goes to Folklife, and if she takes a photo she ALWAYS tips.

I'm very torn about this...I saw someone with a sign that said "Tip if photographing" or something like that, and it irked me. It's right, photographers OUGHT to tip -- ditto the people who turn you into a cell ring tone -- but I really think that being demanding isn't what busking is about. Huh...

Did ya go to Daiko? 'Cuz Omaha and I were there, and I looked in the audience for familiar faces and didn't see you. We wandered the whole park, and I wondered if I would see ya, but I didn't.
