I <3 Crazy Fans, Continued

You know how I've gone on about crazy fans doing things like making their own Star Trek series and all that, right? I'm still most fond of the Starship Exeter crew, because they made a spinoff with new characters.

Anyway, I found a new one! Star Trek The Animated Series, episode 23 (3x01): "And Let the Heavens Fall," online as of 25 April 2009. I'm told that the original was extremely heavy in its re-use of stock footage elements, and this one seems to have a lot of that. Is it just as stock-footage-a-riffic as the original?

I was only able to stand about six or so minutes of it (Holy Crap! Don't these people know how to start a story?!), but it's even more reliant on recycled footage than I remember the original being.

Yeah, the scripting is weak. The funny part is it that it runs 'way over the standard 30-minute episode length, so I suspect with some judicious editing you could hack it down to a better story and still have a full-length episode.

Oh, and it does pick up eventually. It's not all that slow.
