Oh good. The Epson ink that finally got here via FedEx Overnight two weeks and a day after I ordered it for my solstice cards is apparently reacting strangely to the HP paper I was using. My cards this year were - emphasis were - green and black and red three-spot-colour output. Now, 10 hours later, they're green and black and salmon three-spot-colour output. Well, green and grey and salmon. Maybe tomorrow they'll be purple and yellow and gold. Or lilac and magnolia and puce. Who the fuck knows?

I hate this printer, I hate FedEx, I hate these inks, I hate Epson, and I think I'll hate HP paper for extra credit. Hate hate hate. Plus: hate. Also: hate.

If you think it would help, I have Avery 3378 half-fold cards I'm not using... most of a box of 30.

suspicion: age of ink.

Hate to suggest it...but newer printer might be the best solution. They often cost less then the ink does.

Don't know what kind of printer you have, but for 5+ years now we've had spectacular results form an Epson Stylus Photo 2200 with Epson inks and Red River paper (http://www.redriverpaper.com/). Haven't used their cards (Shutterfly suits my lazy ass better for large runs like that), but their satin / luster photo papers rock my world.

ETA: Also, I have done a bit of experimenting, and have had poor results (at least compared to the Red River paper) from hp, Kodak, office-store-brand, and even Epson photo papers in this particular printer.
