Okay so I've been waiting for a package overnight via FedEx since last Thursday. (Order was placed Tuesday, but Tuesday night, so Wednesday start.) When I was out shovelling snow again this morning I saw a FedEx truck down the blog and the guy got out and delivered a package to a neighbour, and I was all "yay!" Then I noticed he LEFT. And I was hoping my package was on another truck because I've seen that sometimes, so I dug a path all the way down the street. But the tracker shows that in fact my package WAS on that goddamned truck and he DID just blow off my house DESPITE the fact that I was OUT THERE SHOVELLING WHILE HE WAS HERE. And now it's back in the warehouse. Again.

Asshole!

UPS, btw, managed to drop off a package for Paul. So EVERYONE BUT FEDEX has managed to deliver to my house during this snowstorm. And that includes Pagliacci Pizza.

(BTW, that's the ink I need for Paul's old Photo EX printer that nobody local has ink for anymore because Epson has stopped manufacture, thus turning said printer into a brick. This is old-stock ordered direct from Epson. I JUST WANT TO PRINT MY SOLSTICE NEW YEAR CARDS NANNANGHAGHTHAN)

Fedex drove a big trailer to a park and ride near here and called us and said "Come get your stuff". Which we did. UPS has been far spottier, they seem to have no system to ensure that all our packages get on the truck, so even when we've met the driver at the end of the block, he still didn't have everything. Some Christmas presents have now become New Year's presents or something.

I'm sure you saw the recent posting in the Seattle community about Fedex claiming they had packages "out for delivery" when in fact that had been sitting in their warehouse for days?

The same thing is happening to us. Even better, they delivered a package to a house further down our block, on the worst part of the street, but we still don't have ours. However, everything that was sent last minute through USPS arrived on time.
