I need webcam software for Windows XP that'll capture an image off a Windows XP-compatible webcam and stick it in a file on a repeating basis. That's all I need it to be able to do. I also don't want to pay for this because it's a crap webcam (an old Labtec) and I'm mostly doing this because I can. Any suggestions?

If just a single image at a time, you might check stuff like Paint Shop Pro or Irfanview. Not totally sure, but might work.

Try Pryme

Try seeing if Pryme is still available on the web. It was free.

Stick Paul out the window with a camera. Poke him with a stick once an hour.

Hi, I had looked into webcams before and wondered if you had tried Sourceforge on it. I found this (http://sourceforge.net/projects/avinwebcam/) using its filters, but unsure if it's what you'd need or not.

I hadn't used that particular webcam software, so I can't recommend it, also I maybe using Linux more so by the time I'll look into webcams in general.

Sorry if it wasn't much use I guess.
