Okay, so there's a meme going around, answer if you want, propagate if you want:
If you saw me being driven by in a cop car, what would you assume I had been arrested for?

Disturbing the peace outside of the local Federal Reserve Building when you were protesting without a permit and started burning $1 Federal Reserve Notes shouting "your money is all going up in smoke!"

Some act of peaceful civic protest. Any of the things people have already listed above; I'm just being more general.

You'actually under police protection because you were the one that finally succeeded in traumatising Fred Phelps by getting him to admit, in NO uncertain terms, that he is anything BUT a Christian. He freaked and was threatening you. The police just being true to their mandate by protecting the truly innocent and letting the truly guilty convict themselves :)

Nah, time to cast-on stitches for fingerless gloves methinks! Sprout (due in 15 weeks) has caused a bit of carpal tunnel problems and my hands get cold when I'm not wearing mittens! The house isn't even cold (err, by my standards, it's over 18C/64F-ish) :)

jeez, no, that's cold for me... 22-23C is about right.

At least out here, dude is becoming gender neutral, esp. among geeks... I kinda like that. especially since I'm becoming more and more familiar with the concept of gender (a) not being quite so permanent and (b) not mattering so damn much. Which is of course the next logical step here as soon as we get the idea behind Prop 8 safely buried (or at least tottering aimlessly and suffering multiple sucking chest wounds)...

I could use some fingerless gloves in here; it's only about 13-14C in here. Which makes the computers happy, but not me.

(What, me, blog from work? shirley, you jest. :)

I sit corrected. :) And yes, the language is in sore need of a gender neutral manner of address. Thankfully, up here in Canada, Prop 8 is not an issue, and just about everyone I know thinks it was stupid & shockingly backwards for CA to put it on the ballot, let alone vote it in! SO not what CA is usually known for in the progressive western states!

And yes, humans and computers have differing opinions on optimal ambient temperatures! Fortunately, humans have the facility to adapt to computers' preferences because they have a spiteful way of NOT adapting so well to ours!

You saw the Olberman piece on Prop 8? That pretty well sums up my view (although I would've edited it down further)...
