(all links interesting (to me, anyway), worksafe, and not depressing)
do want
also do want
and a big rack of these please on the side
i suppose someone could buy me this but mostly it's just really cool. but if you do buy me this, pls. include redevelopment funds
and this potential biofuel source isn't really something you can buy me yet, but is really neat, so there.

Date: 2008-11-08 06:10 am (UTC)I'm biased because of my current living situation, but I really like the way that the pods are each separated so that there would be less noise coming up from apartments below. Probably lets them rig the ventilation so your neighbor's pot smoke doesn't come up through the vents either. ;)

Date: 2008-11-08 10:20 pm (UTC)Aside from the coolness factor, I think standard soundproofing (and separate ventilation) would probably be a better option really. Still. Cool. :)

Date: 2008-11-08 10:15 pm (UTC)It seems to be largely based around a 16-note sequencer - well, if that’s good enough for the best musical instrument ever created (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roland_TB-303), I guess it’s good enough for me. ;) I also like the ‘bounce mode’, although it’s not physically-accurate bounces (Bucephalus Boucing Ball (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=pY2uPNPZeNA), anyone?)
Sounds are not really that interesting though :(
Also, the interface is cool, but it seems to me like it could be a bit difficult to see what you’re doing during layering; if it had a way to light the ‘background’ LEDs at a lower level...
Anyway, obviously I’m interested in music stuff so that was a good link, but San Zhi apartments = awesome. like a theme park for living in. and of course the fact nobody ever did and it's just rotting makes it much better (in ambience and as metaphor for TEH FUTURE). Shame about the excessive HDR in the last photos, though.
