Well, if the Money Fairy ever stops on my street, I'd buy two of the first and give you one, but on condition that you show me how to play the darned thing to good effect.

Must confess that its interface looks a lot like a digital organ stop-console with the labels rubbed off by wear, so.....

In a word, neat. Although I think I could skip the B9.

Good to know what you want! :) I could add some of that to my list- as long as the robots make coffee. :D

Wow, that apartment complex is really cool.

I'm biased because of my current living situation, but I really like the way that the pods are each separated so that there would be less noise coming up from apartments below. Probably lets them rig the ventilation so your neighbor's pot smoke doesn't come up through the vents either. ;)

It's probably not great for insulation though :) Lot of outside-surface area....

Aside from the coolness factor, I think standard soundproofing (and separate ventilation) would probably be a better option really. Still. Cool. :)

Yeah, I know. Might still work in a reliably warm/hot climate, though. And yes, major coolness factor.

Instrument: Chunky grid with lights looks a bit like a Kaoss Pad (KP3), although that’s an fx unit, not a sound source, and is rather smaller (8x8 LED touchpad instead of 16x16 LED button grid). Having physically-distinct buttons does make for a more interesting (and, no doubt, more expensive) interface better suited to creating music though. I like big round buttons with lights behind. :)

It seems to be largely based around a 16-note sequencer - well, if that’s good enough for the best musical instrument ever created (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roland_TB-303), I guess it’s good enough for me. ;) I also like the ‘bounce mode’, although it’s not physically-accurate bounces (Bucephalus Boucing Ball (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=pY2uPNPZeNA), anyone?)

Sounds are not really that interesting though :(

Also, the interface is cool, but it seems to me like it could be a bit difficult to see what you’re doing during layering; if it had a way to light the ‘background’ LEDs at a lower level...

Anyway, obviously I’m interested in music stuff so that was a good link, but San Zhi apartments = awesome. like a theme park for living in. and of course the fact nobody ever did and it's just rotting makes it much better (in ambience and as metaphor for TEH FUTURE). Shame about the excessive HDR in the last photos, though.
