As I mentioned in a nother friends comment on the same thing, Jon Stewart joked about Bush, unable to have a legacy of "Best" president, instead would try for "Last" president.
This would be one way of helping that along. Now I'll indulge my paranoia by watching "Seven Days in May" again. Not exactly the same scenario, the movie had the president being threatened by a coup, rather than arranging one, but the military aspect is all too simular.
