8:36: Doctor McMillan is here with Anna right now saying that a lot of people are lucky to shrug their shoulder after this so Anna's moving her arm around and lifting it and typing is really good, and that she's looking very good and all that. "Ahead of the game."
The earliest Anna might go home is tomorrow afternoon. Anna will get up and walk around a bit today; her dressings will get changed out tomorrow as well.
Of course, Anna's online now so I'm not sure this is needed anymore. ^_^
10:15: Catheter out, yay. Anna got up and walked to the washroom and back, which was good, and played with the lung/breath thing that she's supposed to use hourly. And she's online again at the moment, but will take a nap soon. They're about to scan her bladder with some portable device.
13:29: I'm at murknorth, briefly; Anna's still in hospital, of course. I'm here to shower and then to go Juanita Beach Park for a busking gig. The weather, of course, is crap, but, well, what can you do. Anna has gone to the bathroom, which is important after anesthesia and indicates more resumption of normal bodily functions, so so far, all is still well. She's quite sore - the day after and 2nd day after surgery are usually the most painful - but they've switched her over to oral pain meds, which is also good. Today she's doing breathing exercise things and hanging out more online between naps.
