Anybody out there want to split-order some rainbow pack Lightscribe CD-Rs?

Rainbow colour packs of Lightscribe CD-Rs come in five colours, four of which I do not give a damn about. I only want green. My green-only cakepack supplier of MBI discs is out of stock, and is in fact scalping their own last few spindles on eBay for nearly the price, and frankly, I’d rather go with Memorex’s green disc instead of MBI’s green disc anyway. But I’ll look at other brands too.

We can take five spindles and sort ‘em by colour. If there aren’t enough of us I can probably be talked into taking another colour for a future project. Anybody interested? Seriously, talk to me.

The prices I'm seeing are us70¢/disc for the annoying quantity of 72 because there are 18 packs still in stock. Add shipping to that from me to you. So that's like us$55ish for 72 discs, which is a lot per disc. But.

Fuck, I forgot sales tax. Adds like $4, but I was trying to pad shipping so's not to lowball it. I'll have to figure out how much it really costs.

Actually now I need to check out HPs colours - if they're good too, then I can get those in much bigger packs (120 disc spindles) which means cheaper per disc. I'll update after I check them. (Still rainbow-pack only, so it doesn't remove the need for a group order! And their colours may suck. Some do. I'll find out!)

I cannot find any HP samples to verify against. So I'm not going to mail-order to find out.But! While I was out looking (at one of the places that claimed to have them but did not) I found a place selling the Memorex discs for less! (55¢/disc!) They had lots and it wasn't a clearance, just a sale. I'm going back tomorrow to buy 20 packs = 400 discs = 80 of each colour. So it'll be less (us$44+shipping) for more! Assuming they aren't all gone or something stupid like that.

No problem. I can figure out how to pay for that, plus a little bit extra for your pain-in-the-ass of storage, and then when the time comes you can burn me 72 CDs (and we can work out a mutually-agreeable charge for that, too). Thanks.
