Or if not that - if it's not visual enough - they should at least have a round of this, and on the original hardware. "Okay, these debug-console bit toggles are for player one, and these are for player two." Awesome.
Or, fine, here're versions of the first one for modern hardware. Be that way. But Multics is now open-source, so if you're insane, you can try to port it to hardware that actually exists, and then run the original source! Or work on the Multics hardware emulator, boot the OS, and then run the game. Whatever, you know, seems good.
