Funny thing about working on CD booklets – you get ideas.

Light cover

Dark cover

Opinions?

Of course, the music’s the important thing. And that is finished, and available for immediate download and CD preorder!

Dark, of course. It's a matter of truth in advertising.

I prefer the dark cover with one caveat: my eye is immediately pulled to the large white highlight on the hair, which isn't the focus of the image. If you shaded that a little, the shadow thing is awesomesauce.

Yeah, either way, the dark version has more style to it.

I like the dark cover better as well.
You said you'll have discs at Norwescon? I'll be sure to track you down and get one then. I have a thing in favor of physical media.

Dark cover pops way better and makes your shading more obvious. Looks great to me actually. The other one looks kinda flat.

Hope you sell a lot!

I like the dark cover better. More depth and more brooding and sinister ;)

Just an offhanded thought...

I'm not sure if light and fluffy types exactly would follow elfmetal. :)

Unsurprisingly, I'm going to say 'dark' as well. :) With one other caveat apart from the hair shading others mentioned: it makes the 'forces of evil' very hard to see, which since it's disconnected from the other text, is pretty critical.. So basically I would go for dark... but LESS dark. Maybe 50%. :)

Either that, or brighten the drop shadow on those letters, so they pop a bit more.

I think the red drop shadow is a good color (at least on my monitor.) If you wanted to bring it out more, you could maybe extend the bottom (like a drip starting) on the drop shadow on the 'e' in die?

Definitely the dark cover. Fits both the "forces of evil" and "must die" themes far, far better.

Yay for music being done!!
