So how difficult is this, really?
Jul. 10th, 2008 11:04 pmSo is there really pretty much just no way to get to Country Village in Bothell any way other than driving? Or is SR-527 safer to bike than it looks from its intersection with Bothell Way (SR-522) at Main Street in Bothell?

Date: 2008-07-11 06:39 am (UTC)It looks like you could save time by skipping 61st/Locust and just taking residential streets to 73rd, then head north to the right on 192nd. But the basic advice is to get yourself over to Meridian instead of going up 527. You could also take Locust to 228th but that's a busy road and it's got the single worst hill I've ever gone up on a bike. You have to be a masochist to go that way. There are other hills by my suggested route, but that's also true of 527.

I'm still astounded there's no transit running up 527. Bothell needs to run a streetcar up that thing stat. And add a bike trail. (I checked the altitude changes, they're much less ph33rsome.) And while we're at it, I want a pony. ^_^

Yeah, I found the 120 route. But that's kinda nuts. Bothell should - and I'm 100% serious here - run a trolly line up that thing. For reals. And a trail. It's only 1.7 miles from downtown! Why should that take 20 minutes nang nang nang nang.
