Hey, musicians, ever had one of those days when everything musical about you seemed to just collapse in a heap of bent coat hangers, broken slinkies, and backwards-attached thumbs? Today was my day. Guh, I feel so ... out of sync.

I won't call myself a musician, but I've had days where I pick up the viola and VOILA (heh), I can't help but do things right. I also have days where I pick it up, and it's as though my brain and body decide, "what is this i don't even" and nothing works.

On those days, I play for 10 minutes, do some scales, and then lovingly put the instrument away and go do ... anything else.
