that was unexpected

solarbirdJamming group kinda liked the first song I showed that was thematically complete and kinda wants to perform a version of it. So I kinda need to make a coherent arrangement now. I guess there's a song somewhere in that noise.
So that's kinda neat. I seem to have some weird issues around writing music (not the fault at all of anybody around here, people who know me well can assume it's part of All That) so it's, um, weird. kathrynt, you haven't seen this piece. Generally fwiw I think the one you've seen is the least of the lot from this month. At least of the bits that have enough notes to care about. But I dunno, maybe it's not.) Hopefully this means I will be embarrassed by this work later if I get to a point where I'm writing actual music. ^_^
Also, I need to make more flutes. In particular I need to make another C-major/E-minor flute in the same(ish) octave as my current one. That would be useful. I have a materials idea or two about that to try. Oh, andannathepiper and I are thinking of going to this new filk convention in January. It's local. I'm kind of thinking of making some flutes (on a speculative basis) and trying to sell 'em there. But I dunno. Opinions on that are welcome.
