It looks good:

…but it’s picked up some new noise somewhere that is not outside interference. I’m going to have to debug it some more to find out what. Some of it’s kind of awesome, but it’s a little excessive, even for the kind of crunchy trashnoise I want, so I hope I can pull it back a bit. Wish me luck!

Interestingly, signal levels are higher, and when it was in the test harness, I had just kind of tied wires together badly. When I wired in the microphone noise-cancelling circuit, that doubled the input level of the microphone. I think that might be part of it. Also it's definitely hotter output, which, again, same thing. I'm going to try some signal reduction tricks.

My solder joints are good, I'm pretty sure - I check carefully for this each time, and it's also not really that kind of noise - but these thin wires going to the motherboard are definitely suspect.
