Day Two: I love this plan! I'm proud to be a part of it!

November 2nd: Song for an Incomplete Flute in D major, 2m10s, in the form of verse, chorus, alternate verse, alternate chorus. Composed while tuning the new flute I'm still building, which is still missing notes. (I'm hoping to finish the rest of the primary elements tomorrow.)

Total so far 3m46s (or so), across two compositions in progress. Yes, this keeps me on target in the traditional scale sense, but my actual demi-plan isn't as linear as that.

Posting excerpts is going to be a bit annoying and/or difficult as I'm recording to minidisc because that's how I usually take notes, plus I don't have a lot of hard drive space here. So I'll have to rip things to be able to edit things, which isn't that big a deal, but does take nonzero time, unfortunately. Sheet music will take quite a bit longer. But that's not strictly part of the goal! So that can wait.

This is so much fun.

Looking forward to the results. I'm pleased by what you can do even when you're frustrated; hearing what you can do when you're actually having fun ought to be really good.

I'll have to try this some time. I've not got the energy or the means to really do it properly, but it seems fun. Maybe next year.
