Scar is a good flute, about on the level of Popcorn, but with, I think, actually somewhat better native tuning. The top of her second octave is a little difficult; tone is solid throughout, and octave tuning is nice. I like her. I think it's now reasonable to talk to those people interested in me making flutes for them.

Thanks. This is how a relatively simply-bound flute ends up looking after burning, when you're dealing with a basic yellow bamboo. That's in contrast to, say, the exotic self-decorated bamboo of Savage, and the unfortunate beginnings of a crack in, as in Dillinger.

I know of a couple of people making and selling bamboo flutes in the local area, but I don't actually know of anyone making or selling bamboo piccolos.
