livejournal just blew away every line of my s2 code for the uplake project because I - following the FAQ! - changed the number-of-entries-displayed-in-custom views via the dropdown.

completely. blew. everything. away. No warning or confirmation. yes, this was delicate work. and yes, this was a lot of work, now completely wiped off the fucking face of the fucking planet.

if anybody knows how to decompress and browse firefox cache, please let me know.

Well, suck. LiveJournal has never been terribly good at letting you know when you're about to lose reams of data.

Does 'about:cache' work for what you need?

Unfortunately, no. I see some things that I think might be cache entries for the data, tolling through it last night, but it reports no file on disk for those entries.
