Steven Moffat to the rescue!

Man, just when you think Doctor Who is running out of gas again, they get Steven Moffat to pull something out of his hat like "Blink" and someone really clever does the cinematography and holy crap that was creepy and cool.

skydancer is a Doctor Who fan, I'm a Coupling fan, and I knew Steven Moffat had won a Hugo for The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances. So I started showing him Coupling, and he brought over some Doctor Who.

As it happens, we've finished all 4 seasons of Coupling but we're still on the 2005 Doctor Who series, largely because I don't like to watch it right before bed or if I'm in a "down" mood. The last one I saw was The Doctor Dances, and I had trouble getting to sleep for the next few nights....

Um, my comment kind of assumed that you knew Steven wrote all four seasons of Coupling. As this press release from the 4th season notes, Steven wrote a Dalek into the 2nd episode of the 4th season before he was offered the chance to write for Doctor Who.
