Here, Amnesty International wants you writing the Iranian government in protest of that government's illegal arrest of Dr. Haleh Esfandiari. They're now charging her with all sorts of bogus crimes, as authoritarian regimes tend to do. While you're at it, you might drop them a separate note about their religious police beating women for "immodest" dress.

The Iranians are making these arrests to gather "hostages" in anticipation of a confrontation with America. Right now we are paying for Carter's gullibility and Reagan's unwillingness to punish Iran for her actions after the return of the prisoners from the US Embassy. And, most recently, the British cowardice over the affair of their captive sailors.

Might want to ask Amnesty International why they think Israel's human rights abuses are worse than those of Iran, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Syria and Egypt. (http://www.nysun.com/article/55021) Just sayin.
