Does anybody out there know, or know how to find out, how to reset a Fossil FX-2001 PalmOS Wrist PDA/watch? It needs to be a hard reset - all the data has to go. My Google-fu has failed me.

Similarly, if anybody knows how Wikipedia county tables work, do you have any idea why this one is b0rken? This is not HTML. I came across this hideously b0rken Wikipedia page and managed to fix it part-way by making the two different wikitable code sets connect together, but there's still a broken part and my attempt to put it all into the same type is failing.

hm. according to the tables I use in our wiki at work (and build 'em off the refcard at wikimedia.org), the syntax is:

On the page Dara is looking at, it's not actually a table, it's a template (County1) that expands to the proper table.

Best I can tell, all the code on the actual template calls is fine, so it's either a problem with the template itself (it's a bit too dense for me to parse through to say) or a problem with the actual wikipedia software. I'm pretty sure it's not something being done wrong in the above code, though.

in most cases, removing the battery for quite awhile causes data loss in devices of that type.

Sadly, not here. It uses NVRAM and has been without batteries for, hum... a year and a half? Very annoying!

Most palm os stuff I've seen hard reset by pushing a small recessed switch with a small object and holding down the power switch...on a watch....maybe the SET switch instead?

No such thing as a SET switch on this device. And if there's a small recessed switch, it's too well hidden for me to find. There is one on the 2003 (or whatever v2 of this thing was called), so.

"A small silver flush mounted hard reset button is nestled between the USB port and the lower left-hand button." No, I can't vouch for the veracity of that statement. It came from a third-party tech site.

That's 2003 (I think) or later. The 2001 doesn't have that port, unfortunately.
