I think a got little punch-drunk last week

Prepping for finals. Reviewing my homework assignments, which are also good review sheets. I think I was a little punch-drunk when I did botany homework six. Describing desert biomes:

Mammals, when present, are often burrowers; examples include the kangaroo rat and jackrabbit. Nonburrowing mammals include the camel; the coyote is a mammalian predator found in some desert biomes, as is the Pallas cat. Birds found in this biome include the burrowing owl, the Egyptian vulture, and, if cartoons are any guide - and in this case, they are - the roadrunner. A higher percentage of animal species than typical are nocturnal.

Yeah, I actually handed that in. Go me. Or something.

If it's any consolation, when we did our I-40 drive last summer, we went through that famous town for left turns - Albuquerque and stopped at their Aquarium (yes, they have a delightful Aquarium with mostly animals associated with the Rio Grande from the mountains to the sea). And what do we see as we're waiting for the aquarium to open? A Road Runner! The REAL Thing, just running around wild. Being chased by a 3 year old... This resulted in "Road Runner, the little kid's after you. Road Runner, if he catches you you're through." :)

oh yeah, living in a desert biome, see roadrunners often, sometimes several in a day. They are cool.

I got elf also. Tho in mine it somehow tied w/dragon (elf winning cause the tie-breaking question had me thinking I'm more impish than angry). I do not think many people would find me the ideal girl, tho. ::rolls eyes at that bit of the descrip::

Yeah, you run into that kind of thing a lot. Somebody needs to tell the quiz writer that not all elves are female.

Mostly I post quizzes when I like the pictures. ^_^

::nodnod:: Like, ::looks down:: someone meeting me based on that quiz would be seriously disappointed. (not to mention, there are like five jillion different ideas of "the perfect girl", or none at all, ya know?)
