In response to your icon: I love it. My only problem is that I claim to somewhat of a Trekkie and I know that Sulu actually says that line, I just can't think of when he does. Do you know?

There were a whole series of Trek icons like this one posted together. Anna got a couple too! But I have no idea where he actually says the line.

Are they airing the new-sfx (for HDTV) episode versions where you are? I like what they've been doing with them so far.

I know that G4TV has been re-airing TOS and TNG because I've got fake stock. Right now they're in the process of doing TNG, and had just doing season 2 of TOS. Also, Spike TV (a station on Dish, which is what Aunt Eileen and Uncle Jack have) are doing TNG, DS9, and Voyager.

I myself rarely watch tv unless I rent or buy a movie. I don't have rabbit ears, cable, or anything like that, for I'm too poor (tried rabbit ears and couldn't get anything). I'm just now able to pay for the install and first month of internet with my tax returns.

Anyway, the re-mastered Star Trek (original series) with the new sfx are being shown on broadcast TV only, in syndication. They have some example stills here, on the startrek.com website:

They're not redesigning things; that would be stupid, and they know it. They're doing the original designs - just with modern effects technology. I like it.

I've got fake stock by playing the SpockMarket on www.g4tv.com. G4 TV is doing Star Trek Interactive 2.0. Some examples of the stock that can be bought at the moment are: Jean Luc Picard, Q, Holodeck Entertainment INC., Cochrane Warp and Impulse, Commander William T. Riker, etc.

I've read on annathepiper's lj where the episodes were updated, but haven't actually seen the updated episodes since I don't regularly watch broadcast tv.
