and then there was more
Jan. 16th, 2007 10:35 am-3.7° last night; yesterday we got close to the melting point, all the way up to -1.6°. The snow has already let off this morning, which is earlier than forecast, tho' college is closed until 1pm and all classes are closed through 3:30... oh wait, it's snowing again.
On the other hand, we've already hit yesterday's high temperature, and it's only 10:30.
Mmmm, zero-content weather blogging. I should go study Japanese instead.

Remember These?

Date: 2007-01-16 10:18 pm (UTC)We're at our high so far for the day; -0.7°C. SO CLOSE! We're actually seeing a little melting within a few feet of the house now (that's new) and also some melting were sun would theoretically be if it weren't so cloudy. And trees are shedding snow, so even that little bit of metabolism is enough to push the snow over the edge into melting.
It's been another very, very busy day at the bird feeders, too. Particularly the hummingbird feeder, which I refilled this morning since it was warm enough that it wouldn't quickly melt.
