Happy New Year, everyone. 2006, despite things like a near-fatal accident, was better than 2005, which was better than 2004, and probably better than 2003. Also, I finally have my new year's cards done and will be mailing them out over the next few days. Good luck with 2007!

Ah, dry ice adventures. At one Chicago WorldCon we found a place not far from the main hotel which was open 24 hours and carried dry ice. We bought fifty pounds.

Have you ever tried to not look suspicious while carrying a smoking box through a hotel lobby a one in the morning?

Those were the days when fans were fen...
