Okay, so I'm posting this from our print server because my Powerbook display backlight is dead, just in time for finals week, to which I can only say fuck. This whole last couple of days have been a problem, and this isn't fucking helping.

Anyway, things will be stupid and lame for another week or so. Hopefully after that, I'll be able to put things back together. Right now, I have to study for a Japanese final, finish re-reading all my chem notes from this summer, and try out this AVI to VGA adaptor thing to see whether I can at least use my powerbook as a desktop machine to get me through the rest of the week.

Wow! I really like the composition of that pic - or should I say decomposition? Seriously tho, nice. It would make a very nice desktop. What do you use to take your photos?

Thanks - I have a higher-resolution version, I might post a link to it as a desktop once I put a (C) on it. I wasn't sure anybody else would be interested.

I take all these photos with wysper's Canon PowerShot A80. Some of the older shots are taken with an Olympus digital; a few of the oldest were taken with... hum... foo. I forget what it was. A little 1mp point-and-shoot that I enjoyed playing with. I also have an old Canon film camera which uses, unfortunately, an incompatible lens system. I want to get a new Canon digital body so I can use those lenses with digital shots. They'd be really nice.

My mate is way into photography too, s'why I asked. She uses a digital Olympus(I think) and I'm pretty sure she has an analog Cannon. I don't think she's into close-ups like that, but that may mostly be because she has had no official lessons in composition and isn't so sure of herself when it comes to that.

They used to say "film is cheap." Well, digital is FREE. Shoot like crazy! It's a great way to learn. ^_^
