Fire Comb above is a one second handheld exposure. See all the motion blur in the background? No? FUCKING RIGHT YOU DON'T my arms may be screwed up but turns out I can still do that shit XD XD XD
if you didn't check out the flickr set, you might. i'm really happy with how lots of these came out.
Late response (for some reason I didn't check email for some days) but:
1. cool - personally I am pretty rubbish at holding the camera still, in fact I leave my camera set to 'continuous shot' mode (low-speed not the mental one, but still) so that if the shutter speed is anywhere approaching 'slow' I hold the button to fire off three shots and hope one works...
2. yes I did look at the flickr set :) I think that's where the 'flapper' picture I mentioned liking was.
3. you might focus (no pun, etc) on the =awesome property of fire but I focus on the =scary property. this is because I am a wuss. :)
I chatted with one of the techs before, they wanted to stream the event but found bandwidth was limited from that location....any ideas if that issue was solved?
Yeah, would loved to go, but me way too busy to go. Thanks for sharing.
