A bunch of people were talking about my handwriting over on Dreamwidth and Livejournal, which I found kind of amusing, so I started talking about developing handwritings and fonts during art school, and then the rest of the package that I included with the applications forms for Folklife. They needed all the forms filled out and a demo CD, but I figured getting a little attention wouldn’t hurt. I mean, I hadn’t planned on doing any sort of big graphics production, which is good ’cause this doesn’t rate that highly, but I do like what I threw together from things about the house:

but I liked it so I kept it.

I need to find some Sealing Wax and a Seal I like. It makes such a great effect.

The extra little drop definitely does add something there. Actually, that third photo could almost make for an interesting album cover in and of itself.

I'd like to get one that matches my hanko, but I haven't looked into it. This one's a Scottish thistle, which I also like, and which I might have actually purchased in Scotland, but I'm not 100% sure.

Do mention what you find out. My hanko is carved stone (rather expectably) and since I use it with cinnabar ink it's usually wet enough to work acceptably with sealing wax.

I don't plan to deal with it soon - too many other irons in the fire. But some sort of casting project might be fun.
