solarbirdToday I decided to see what happens if you head up 30th Avenue NE. Answer: sweating. it may and may not have been the most difficult hill yet, but it certainly felt like it, not because of total elevation, but because gosh it got steep. This is the first place I've had to weave back and forth on a (zero-traffic, nearly-deserted) street to make it up the hill on one of these avenue-exploration rides.
Oh, and I passed by a house we'd looked at. Of course. Like y'do.

I've been using the multiprotocol IM client Fire for a long time, but its IRC support is determinedly strange - strange enough that I've failed to use it on a few occasions when I thought it would be handy - and its Jabber support doesn't like talking to Livejournal's new Jabber server either, so I'm trying Adium, which appears to be about a dozen times snazzier at first glance. However, I'll definitely keep Fire around even if I do switch over, if for nothing else so I can access the old chat logs still saved by it.
No politics tonight. Politics tomorrow, when I'm less girsome and can read the state Supreme Court's decision. The fundamentalists are, of course, all happy.

The garden is a bit of a mess. It's been too dry, but more importantly, too damn hot the last week to garden. I need to get the next crop of lettuce into the ground, and soon!
