quiz and homework

First quiz today; I got the right answers, hopefully I'll get full credit for work shown. Also, I finished off the first real homework, yay. So far, it's really less "chemistry" and a lot more like "math." Alvin (our TA) keeps saying "you should just memorise this," which scares me. I'm really bad at that.

The TA is probably saying "just memorize this" because for the average person, that is easier than understanding it. Since the reverse is true for you, try to get a geek tutor or something who will explain why...then you can derive it from first principles every time instead of memorizing.
