1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open it to page 161.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don't search around and look for the coolest book you can find. Do what's actually next to you.
For example, Iraq was half urban, half bedouin.

Things grew more suspicious as Fitts' research disclosed that Winokur, through Capricorn Investments, had a decisive role in the 1980s management of the intelligence/government outsourcing mega-firm DynCorp, of Reston, VA.

I hate this meme, because I always see it at work, and therefore the book right next to me is something boring like Web Privacy With P3P by Lorrie Cranor. Admittedly, the sentence turned out to be better than I'd thought:

"Unless your site is providing horoscope readings, you probably don't collect information that specific."

That's a great answer for a book like that. I have the same problem... I'm at work, and the nearest book is Handbook of Usability Testing by Jeffrey Rubin.

"This version was developed using Visual Basic for Windows."

Perish the thought.

Heehee. The nearest book (a thousand paths to tranquility) only had four sentences on page 161 ;) The fourth being: Courage opens the heart.

Anyhoo, did this one in my journal once already, so I'll consider myself excused from reposting...
