Stormy City

Not very much going on today. Too much bad politics, too many annoying news items, too much batshit insanity going on. I did measure for a cold frame for the cold-weather garden that I'll make out of PVC tomorrow. That should be simple enough to do, and should be something I can finish up before the cold weather gets here Wednesday or Thursday.

I also measured - I've got 30' of possible wall space for grapes. I won't use that much. I could do 26' if I used 10' lengths of 2x8s for the arbour mains, with 2' of overlap at the two centre posts, and 1' overhangs on the ends.

Efficiency and Ambiguity in an Adaptive Neural Code is short but dense and pretty difficult. I don't think I'm really getting that much out of it. I'll try again tomorrow when hopefully I may have more brain.

I was thinking about the wall space. Have you considered espaliered fruit trees? They tend to want a sunny wall, they look cool, though they're a bit of effort, and they're a way to sort of contain the "apples everywhere!" problem.
