So for no very good reason, I started playing around with embedding livejournal content into web pages, and ended up poking about and playing around with the Murknet home page. And last time we had system issues, we were pointing people at my LJ and Anna's LJ for updates, and that worked probably well enough, to be honest, but we also thought it'd be kind of neat to have a single point - preferably a redundant single point - for updates and news and crap. Plus, it's been a long time since we did anything whatsoever with it.

Accordingly, we give you:
The NEW murkworks.net HOME PAGE!

It embeds two things: 1. the most recent entry in [livejournal.com profile] murknet, an administrative account we decided to grab. We can post updates there when things go to hell. Feel free to friend it, or not. This also links back to the [livejournal.com profile] murknet user, so you can catch up if you've missed something. 2. [livejournal.com profile] murknet's friendslist, in a custom vertical view. I swear to you I was working on this before my.livejournal.com, or, at least, before I noticed it, so you can see in one place what murkworkians are going on about now.

This makes it an aggregator for system news and typings made by various Murkworkians, which means it actually changes on a regular basis. Yay! Sadly, it works least well for entries on my journal, because I've got all these pictures and such. Sadness! But it works great for everybody else. Plus, it actually works again, which is good. Anna poked at a bunch of stuff to get things like the help pages back online and update some stuff there, so that's fun too.

Anyway, it's a new toy, go poke at it if you want to. Or don't, if you don't.

(PS: Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] spazzkat for a cut-down style I could hack at a lot to make fit for the most-recent-entry embed.)
