murkworks.net 3.1r2 on kernel 2.4.27 apache 2.0 series web services online, motherfuckers! At least for the moment. It's still b0rken and lame - no server-side scripting, virtual hosts may (and may not) be a little weird, and if you're using php, we might need to talk - but it's up for non-PHP pages.

It's also behind newly enhansed firewalling. It was firewalled before, but now it's moreso. If something other than server-side scripting doesn't work that used to, tell me; I erred further on the side of paranoia this time, I think and hope.

[livejournal.com profile] annathepiper is working on the scripting issues more this weekend, and we've both been doing some ad hoc touchup. Hopefully we won't get p0wned at least for another few months. :-p

Don't want to hassle you but what's the status of your DNS hosting? www.probcast.com seems wierd about resolving.

Hmm, it does seem like the domain isn't happy about resolving. Thoughts?

For what it's worth, www.probcast.com loads just fine for me in my browser here from work. As Dara has also mentioned, door thinks it resolves just fine. I would suggest that you try hitting it a few times over the course of the day and see if it's consistently acting up for you. If so, it may be that burninghand.org is hosed for some reason, in which case you should be talking to your sister. :)

Hits on the domain randomly choose between DNS servers... so sometimes you'll go through murkworks.net and sometimes you'll go through burninghand.org. There's just no way of knowing beforehand. But if one of us is acting up for some reason, that'll cause erratic access to the domain.

Well, the server *was* down earlier. It's funny that I'm on safari on a mac now, and I've heard of this happening at least one other time on a mac. I wonder if the mac or safari doesn't want to pay attention to the fact that the server that was once down is now alive and well?
