What would you want on a band website?

So I’m bodging together improvements to the band website and I’m wondering: what would you want on it? I know I need a mailing list of some sort (eventually, anyway) but what else is missing?

Well, lessee. Basic journalism kicks in:
Who: Bios
What: Musical style.
When: Schedule page.
Where: (Ditto) Also contact/mailing list page.
Why: This can go on the style page; alternatively, musical samples, lyrics, i.e. answer the question "why should I pay money for this?"
How: Store.

As for mailing list: You can use Ecartis or MailMan, and whump up a WordPress Page that integrates these; you can use PHPList and the integration plugin for that; or you can go third-party. Depends on how you've got your hosting set up. If your hosting for the band is set up outside the Murk, you *may* want to go third-party; you may also want to go third-party even if you're doing it in-house if you don't trust your outbound bandwidth (capacity or uptime). See me after class for more details on that; I've done Ecartis and MailMan setups and got paid for them, so.. :) (Not that I'd expect to get paid for this in any more than pizza or the equivalent... for one thing, it ain't that hard! :)
