I think this is the last of the Ravenna Avenue P-Patch photos:

And this one is from down at the shops over a month ago at this point - a storm coming in from the east, over Lake Washington. Most of the deciduous trees visible are halfway or nearly bare now:


Storm's Coming

I kind of forgot to keep track of milage for a while. I think it goes something like this:

2.0 miles - sometime since I last reported
9.0 miles - Monday's bike trip to Bothell to get new tabs for the truck
1.0 miles - errands on Thursday
Miles out of Hobbiton: 500
Miles out of Rivendell: 40.2
Miles to Lothlórien: 426.2

There were also some tokens, but I can't remember them, so SUCKS TO BE ME! Or something. Besides, 500 is a nice round number yay.

I really love the storm pick. The colors are wonderful. The alternate one isn't as nice.

Yeah, that's why it's the alternate. It was mostly in the running just because the lightpole wasn't visible in it.

I like the first storm pic the best but all three shots are really nice. The colors in the first are amazing.

Thanks. I think I oversharpened it a bit, though. I wasn't used to the macro setting on the camera yet and it fuzzed a little.

Which? the first? I think it's perfect myself. I really need to take some photography classes. they would be fun and improve my skills immensely (since I have almost NONE I think that's a given).

Hiking and biking my way through Middle Earth, as per the trail taken by Frodo in The Lord of the Rings. It's called the Éowyn Challenge. You take miles from your walking/biking/whatever from place to place, and apply them to the route. (Walking around at home, etc, doesn't count; it's only going between places that matter. According to my rules. ^_^ ) So I've walked/biked 500 miles this summer and early fall.

Nice storm pics... I liek the first better as it captures the "enhanced" colors just before the sun gets swallowed up by the clouds... I like how everything just seems so much more vibrant before or after a storm... btw, how was the storm?
