I took these at CascadiaCon, I thought they were kind of neat. I also have normal snapshot pictures, and I've added one from there to the flower stack.

I'm having some gamma issues on the different supposedly-calibrated monitors I'm using. I've tried to target for a middle-range. They're a little brighter than they should be on my Powerbook, and a bit too dark on my main PC. So I'm not sure what they'll look like on your screen. I know how I'd print them, though, were I making prints.

Do Not Enter

Not the Way

Painted Night (Biohazard)

I have a political post started, but you won't see it until tomorrow. My schedule is all screwed up from working most of Sunday. Blah!

I love the play of light and dark in those photos. The yellow contrasts so brightly against the background in "Do Not Enter", the layout of "Not the Way" makes me want to go that way even if it's not the way, and the blue glow is just the right touch of color to bring "Painted Night (Biohazard)" to life!

If you work with photos and want to show them to other computer users, I'd set your Mac to standard gamma (same as used on PCs and everywhere else). It's a simple option in the appropriate control panel, though I think you might have to go through the calibration thing again first.

I eventually got around to doing that with mine - but my pictures *still* appear too dark on my work pc! (Yours are, too, maybe I'll look again from home.) Eventually I decided this was a problem with my work pc and not with the pictures.
