YOU ARE T3H FR34K!

...

I heard this clatter and went to the front window and the postal truck was already heading away down the street. So I went to the front door and found:

FREAK

Yes, it's a frisbee. Or rather, a frisbee-like flying disc. I'm pretty sure they just tossed it at the door, like, you know, you would. Which is also funny.

No political mail today, I'm already running hideously lately for CascadiaCon setup. More later.

What's even funnier is they're not supposed to deliver things that aren't packaged. But the post office has a pretty good sense of humor. Someone once did a study by mailing all sorts of crazy things and seeing what happened.

The best one was a long stem rose, completely unpackaged! It showed up in excellant shape surprisingly. I wish I could remember the name of the study, it's on the net somewhere.

You don't have to package things..as long as it doesn't pose a danger to anyone at the post office(no sharp edges, glass objects, something like that), they don't care. I've mailed flashlights, which make great mailing tubes, car parts, driftwood, frisbee and frisbee clones,a doll, plastic toys..glad it got there-I wasn't real sure of that Lectra label tape would stay stuck or not..think of it as a Frisbee-wannabe thrown 2700 miles or so.
