solarbirdUnexpectedly, over the last couple of days, I've been doing serious amounts of sculpture. I've been too busy with other things to do any this summer, which is a serious drought, but yesterday I was out in the woodshop and went upstairs to the studio to get some stuff and ping! I was doing art.
Two formerly incomplete sculptures are now finished: "Death in Hyperspace" and "All Fall Down." I'll take photos and enter them in the Kenmore Art Show tomorrow. I also actually did work on 5038 - the former laundry chute-now jeffries tube door replacement is coming out very nicely, I'll have to take pictures of that, too. And the cherrywood bench in the master bedroom upstairs, can't forget that. Well, I could, but it'd be a shame, since it looks nice. ^_^
Then when I got home this evening, I had mail from a real estate agent... asking about my art, and whether I work at a certain scale. Pleasantly, I do! "Well," think I, "That was unexpected."
Thursday's miles: 11, mostly in 3.5, a little in 3,6 and 3,7, the highest gear the bike has. Door to door to Murksouth (10 miles) in 50 minutes, approx. average to Death Hill 13.8mph, approx average on trail 15.9mph, which means I think I'm speeding. W00t!
Miles out of Hobbiton: 387.7
Miles to Rivendell: 70.6
